About MySNC

MySNC was developed by Dr. Larry Mallak and Wasif Butt of Western Michigan University in 2011. MySNC was funded by a grant from the California HealthCare Foundation, in conjunction with the Center for Health Design.

My Safety Net Clinic (MySNC) was developed for the purpose of assisting designers and decision makers in SNCs implement evidence-based design recommendations. This tool follows up from the Center for Health Design's 2008 report on evidence-based design in ambulatory care clinics, also a CHCF-funded project. The purpose of this cost-benefit tool is to provide some preliminary cost-benefit information for the design of SNCs, particularly in the areas of green design, patient care areas, waiting areas, and exterior lighting. Data from each of these modules can be exported for more detailed analysis using Excel and other tools.

The California HealthCare Foundation (CHCF) has the mission to "work as a catalyst to fulfill the promise of better health care for all Californians." CHCF supports "ideas and innovations that improve quality, increase efficiency, and lower the costs of care." Read more at http://www.chcf.org/about.
