The University of Kansas team’s concept for improving the design of waiting rooms for families in Neonatal Intensive Care Units is the winner for the 2011 Nurture Collegiate Healthcare Design Competition.
“Nourish Newborns: A place for the comprehensive care of neonates and the family alike” was submitted by Rhaynelina Estevez, Lauren Gloriod, Alex Jones, Sara Mae Martens, and Lindsay Slavin.
The UK team will attend the Healthcare Design Conference.11 in Nashville, Tennessee, where they will be honored at a special awards breakfast for their project.
