Co-sponsored by Contract magazine, The Center for Health Design, and the Healthcare Design 2010 conference, the Nightingale Awards recognize and promotes innovative products that contribute to the quality of healthcare and forge new design directions. The competition is open to products introduced to the U.S. market since the conclusion of HEALTHCARE DESIGN 2009. Each entry is judged on the following criteria: contribution to healing environments; functionality; quality/durability; aesthetics and style; pricing and innovation.
The 2010 Nightingale awards went to Nurture by Steelcase for the Pocket Mobile Workstation; Spec Furniture for the Dignity Collection; Carnegie for the Essentials Collection; Skyline Design for the Suzanne Tick Marker Glass; Mondo for Mondo IDEA; and an honorable mention went to ITC, Inc for the Illuminated Safety Handle.
