Co-sponsored by Contract magazine, The Center for Health Design, and the Healthcare Design 2010 conference, the Healthcare Environment Awards Competition recognizes excellence and innovation in life-enhancing design that contributes to the delivery of healthcare. This year’s competition yielded winners and honorable mentions in five categories.
The 2010 Healthcare Environment Awards went to:
- MultiCare Medical Center Emergency Department, Tacoma Washington, by GBJ Architecture for the Acute Care Facility category;
- Bellevue Medical Center, Bellevue, Nebraska, by HDR Architecture as an Honorable Mention Award in the Acute Care Facility category;
- Central Harlem STD Clinic, New York, NY, by Stephen Yablon Architect, PLLC for the Health and Fitness category;
- NewBridge on the Charles, Dedham Massachusetts by Perkins Eastman Architects for the Long-Term Care and Assisted Living category.
- Patient Room 2020 by Clemson University Architecture + Health, with Birdtree Design Studio and NXT for the Professional and Conceptual category;
- Ollie and Me by Caylee Raber, student at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, Vancouver in the Student category.
