EBD Step 7: Monitor Implementation of Design & Construction

The research plan describes all the key components of a planned research study - including the problem statement, research questions and hypotheses, methods, metrics, tools, workplan and budget. This should be clearly communicated to staff that will be affected by the study – either through direct participation or indirectly by others collecting data in their work areas.

During the visioning, planning and design phases of the project, future process requirements were discussed at a macro level, however, staff training surrounding new processes and technology changes is essential to achieve the project goals.

Any design changes that are incorporated during the construction stage should be documented with indications of possible impacts on patient and staff outcomes.
